Experimental techniques for Structure Analysis: X-ray, neutron, and electron diffraction. Lattice Vibrations: elastic waves, specific heat, phonons, lattice waves, thermal conductivity. Free –Electron Model: conduction electrons, free-electron gas, electrical conductivity, electrical resistivity, Fermi surface, Hall effect, failure of the free-electron model.
